King is dead long live the king
Long before entering theaters, Christopher Nolan's film was named the hottest premiere of the year. Nothing unusual. After the catastrophic implementation of "Batman and Robin", Nolanowski "Beginning" was like a promise. Fortunately, it turned out to be fulfilled. What's more: with more than that. The "Dark Knight" is based on those Frank Miller comics in which Bruce Wayne became increasingly bitter and broken by life. With the help of Commissioner Gordon (sensational Gary Oldman) he manages to put more criminals behind bars, night after night.

The real discovery, however, turns out to be the noble prosecutor Harvey Dent, whose attitude gives hope for the final solution to the issue of the mafia in Gotham. At the same time, the demonic Joker makes a tempting offer to criminals.

His "deadly joke" (this is the title of the graphic novel on which the film is basically based) will turn out to be particularly bitter ... Of course, the most commented element of the "Knight" is the role of Joker. Heath Ledger's tragic death gave her a completely different dimension - almost mystical. Whether a legend will grow around this creation, it is difficult to say today. One thing is certain: saturated with diabolical giggles and constant munching is so characteristic that it has a chance to permanently enroll in the canon of cinematography. Posthumous Oscar for Ledger? In my opinion, it's a good idea, provided that the actor is somehow honored with him for all his work. Aaron Eckhart turned out to be a big surprise for me. The actor, whom I thought was only good at most, perfectly portrayed Tear-Prosecutor Dent. He doesn't play him, he just is. Similarly, the great Gary Oldman, as always, makes Commissioner Gordon one of the most interesting accents. In the second part there was also a casting change. Maggie Gyllenhaal played Bat's Sweetheart this time, which I thought was a very good decision. Gyllenhaal gave Rachel Dawes credibility: it convincingly falls out, not only smiling and joking at the restaurant, but also when her face is tired of life and great maturity. Many accusations have been made against Christian Bale: that he plays in a conservative way, that he does not develop his abilities ... The truth is, however, that the script did not give him room to show off, only in the physical aspect, which in such a film, not let's hide it is very important. Batman's role has been kept to a minimum and this is not a fault. The plot construction is perfectly balanced; for a moment the viewer does not wonder why a given character has a role in this story. There is a lot to say: "The Dark Knight" is the best film of the year and even a bit of pathos at the end is not able to blur this impression. top streaming sites Refined in all respects, breathtaking. Stunning special effects (which, incidentally, the director significantly reduced), fantastic fight scenes, shots from the huge height of skyscrapers, music that fits the atmosphere (but the names Zimmer and Newton Howard speak for themselves) - that's not all. You need to add photos of Gotham City other than in "Beginning". The scenery has changed. This is how I wanted to see this city - not very different from the present. Murders, extortions, assaults - sounds familiar? Gotham, like modern Babylon, does not at first glance moral rot, gives the impression of quite normal: just like the metropolis. At this point we come to the heart of the matter.

Paradoxically, the biggest advantage of this story is ... realism. We buy this story as it is - some elements less (external transformation of Dent), others more, but we assume that it could "be so" if one day the lonely avenger decided to end crime forever. Batman's story is fascinating in itself, Chris Nolan just got the best out of it. The film has a drawback after all.

After the screening, the question arises: how is this? All this?, That's all? The director is disappointing, forcing us to leave the cinema so early. Let the quality of his work prove the fact that this is the only film I wanted to go to for the second time. And now I am looking forward to the moment when the press or television will announce that a thirty-year-old Englishman is calling a man in a black suit again ...
